I can only say…was that life imprisonment or what?….
We FINALLY had our farewell, which wasn't as good as we had expected (due to the same reason for which our informatics exam was postponded). However, we managed to get the best out of it.
I can't believe I wore a sari….and what's even more hard to believe is that I actually managed to walk without falling (I'm famous for that)! :P yeah I almost lost control two times but that was fine.
The best (or should I say the worst) part was the oath taking. I was glad to find myself standing between two of my sweet friends but at the same time I forgot how good they were at PJs. It all began well…with the candle on our left hand and the right one perpendicular to us (I'm forgetting English learning Physics) …no chance of crossing-fingers too…
The only thing I was really uncomfortable with was… I was in the first row. Lucky guys! They were made to stand somewhere at the back…there are hardly any visible in the pic too.
[Friend1 – she was on the right , Friend2 – was on my left]
Principal : "On the 5th day of February, 2006…."
We : "On the 5th day of February, 2006…."
After few more lines…princi increased her speed and the length of the sentences…
Principal : "…I will do all in my power and….*something something that nobody understood* :-S "
So I tried listening to my friends next to me and I ended up laughing and giggling
Friend2 : "I will do all in my power and I didn't understand a word of what you said"
Principal : "…I'll not let corruption and *…if only we had a dictionary with us! *"
This time I thought Friend1 could be trusted…
Friend1 : "I'll not…damn! When is it finishing? My hand is paining!"
I guess I was the only one who took the oath showing all my teeth and giggling like mad and that too when I was standing in the first row …totally exposed! I wonder if you can imagine that!:P
This was followed by placing the candle over the place we'll will be going to for our further studies. I didn't want to walk a long distance (actually… didn't want to get entangled in my sari and screw my day) so placed it somewhere on Amchi Mumbai.
And some who forgot to learn the map before coming to the farewell thought that guessing would do :p…For instance, some took Africa for India, Punjab for Delhi!:D and some undecided and confused candles (or may be those which ran out of space) ended up in the oceans and seas…the rest I can recall is that Kerala was burning and there were three in US.
